The Salvinelli MidiRib Sporter is another example of the fine craftsmanship that goes into the making of every Salvinelli shotgun. What makes the MidiRib Sporter special, is the slightly raised (11mm high) rib that has become popular, especially with FITASC and Compac shooters. Unlike the raised ribs on trap guns, shaped to make the gun shoot high, the MidiRib is a rib, designed to give an unobstructed view of the target while maintaining an approx. 50/50 pattern.
The MidiRib is available in 7 x 5mm, 11 x 8mm as well as 11 x 11mm widths. Like all Salvinelli Shotguns, the MidiRib Sporter is perfectly balanced and will find favour with serious competitive shooters who place the highest demands on their instruments. The action adorns a modified Boss locking system with large locking lugs milled into the receiver and the reciprocal recesses on the barrel lump. The use of coil springs allows the manufacture of a competition gun with a fixed trigger plate, contributing to a slimmer receiver profile. The overall result is an extremely solid gun, yet one that moves with speed and precision.
Available in the traditional understated blued / hard chromed finishes, the MidiRib Sporter is also available with various engraving options and, like other Salvinelli guns, is fully customizable to each of our client’s unique needs.
